Abstract Syntropic Dynamics and Urban Metabolism: A Thermodynamic Analysis of Ecological Succession This article presents a theoretical evaluation of Syntropic Agriculture implementation in the Mar Menor basin (Murcia), conceptualizing it as a form of ecological engineering aimed at restoring biogeochemical cycles. The analysis frames agroecosystem management within the laws of thermodynamics, contrasting the negentropic (syntropic) capacity of complex biological systems—characterized by the accumulation of energy and structural order—against the high-entropy nature of urban environments, defined here as dissipative structures.
